HydroExcavation

Dig Smarter, Stay Safer

Avoid costly repairs, delays, and utility strikes with Elder Corporation’s Hydro Excavation services. Our advanced vacuum excavation technology allows us to safely dig around utilities and stationary structures where traditional methods fall short.

Whether it’s liquids, sludge, or solids—from oil/water separators to underground tanks—our experienced crews handle expert waste removal and site cleanup with minimal disruption. The result? Safer sites, cleaner digs, and fewer surprises.

We proactively budget Hydro Excavation into most projects to reduce risk, prevent utility hits, and protect our people on the ground. It’s not just about avoiding problems—it’s about planning smarter from the start.

At Elder, precision digging isn’t just the safer choice. It’s the right one.

Here’s how it works:

Hydro excavation is a non-destructive digging method that uses high-pressure water and a powerful suction system to remove soil safely and efficiently.

  1. It starts with a jet of pressurized water—essentially a heavy-duty power washer—that cuts into the ground to loosen the soil.
  2. Once the material is broken up, a large vacuum hose sucks the slurry into a holding tank on the truck or trailer.

This method is especially useful in areas where traditional excavation isn’t practical, such as around utility lines or in tight spaces where larger equipment can’t operate without risking damage. It’s also a much faster and safer alternative to hand digging when potholing for utilities.
